Good evening folks. We left on a 15 day ride home trip yesterday. Our sardines
were a bit small and really not what we were hoping for. We spent the afternoon
at Cedros Island and caught enough big bait for the trip.
Mixed Spanish and Greenback mackerel.
The boat is running well after our long two months of maintenance and the people
are enjoying the upgrades.
We will be going by Alijos Rocks tomorrow morning. We are pressed for time to
get to the Bank so we probably will not stop. We will report again tomorrow

Good evening folks. Another day of travel and all is well. We want over a few
things about fishing the Bank and spent the rest of the day getting rigged up.
Our two month maintenance grind is finally over and we are happy to be back out
in the hunt for fish. This year most of the improvements were mechanical. We
installed brand new refrigeration which will give us double the power on for
fish cooling. Each fish hold has a 7.5 ton system that will bring the
temperature of the fish down much faster, insuring an even better quality than
before. With all of the components in the engine room, we have increased our
fish hold capacity and made thing much more user friendly. I posted some
pictures of the new compressors, chillers and condensers. Also the days of wet
boots and pants from the overflowing bait tank have been cured by raising the
tops of the deck boxes and drain box. No more " Red Rooster Falls" . Won't that
be a joy. The heads got the treatment with new wood work and wall to wall tile .
The shower doors have been replaced for more comfort after a long day of
fishing.
All the other comforts remain, including a plasma screen entertainment system to
enhance the satellite antenna system. Football season is just around the corner
and you will be watching it in style. The list does go on and you will see this
summer. We are looking forward to having you out . If you have not booked a trip
now is your chance. Give us a call for any openings or stand by spots. Tonight
we are going to stop for squid hopefully it works out. We will report again
tomorrow. Andy Cates
