March 3rd, 2005
We are on our way south today and should be fishing on Saturday morning. Weather is decent and we are making good time. Our days are spent rigging up our gear and seminars on fishing for tuna and wahoo.
March 5th, 2005
Good evening folks. Our first day was very tough. The sharks made impossible to fish until 4:00 in the evening. There was a showing of bigger fish and hope for days to come. Landing only 9 tuna through the sharks and anything bigger than 130 pounds got eaten off the hook. Our only hope is the sharks back off and give us a chance. The weather has got a lot better this evening and may increase our chances of finding fish off the bank in deep water. Hopefully we have a better report tomorrow. Andy Cates

Good evening folks. Another slow day and Less sharks
this afternoon gave us a chance to land more fish. We trolled around most
of the morning and managed to pull 12 wahoo through the sharks. The
afternoon brought better results with 15 tuna. It doesn't seem like much
but encouraging after what we saw yesterday.
The two bigger fish today were a 215 and a 192 the other fish were 100 to
150 pounds .. We are happy to see the better grade fish. I will post
some pictures in the next couple of days. Beth Smith landed the 215 and
Norm Wodruff the 192. Both fish were on the kite. We will report again
tomorrow. Andy Cates

Bill Kuehl with a 205 and Ralph Hughes with the big fish of the day a 233.
The bigger fish were on the kite or balloon. Finishing our evening with 30
tuna from 120 pounds to 195 pounds. really a nice change from the first
day. I will post some pictures tomorrow of some of the trophy fish we are
catching. we will report again tomorrow. Andy Cates

Good morning folks. We are on our way to Cabo to drop off the people that are flying home. After a great tuna catch and only room for wahoo we trolled around yesterday. We were surprised to have a chance at catching 50 wahoo before we left. It worked out great for an action packed ending. The weather is great for a nice ride to Cabo. We will report again tomorrow.
