Good morning folks.
Our computer that sends fishing reports is back on line. We will be updating daily once again to keep you informed on the long range fishing.
Yesterday we left on an Izorline sponsored 17 day fly back trip to lower Baja. We have a fine load of sardines and are on our way for mackerel this evening. We are getting a little wet from rain but no wind . It looks
like it will be wet the next few days. Get out the rain gear. We will report again tomorrow. Andy Cates

Last night we encounter some rough weather and had problems with our monitor.  We did manage to build up our bait supply with squid and mackerel.  Looks like we will hit the fishing grounds @ 8 AM Sunday morning.

Feb. 14, 2005

Our first day of fish was slow.  We landed about a half dozen tuna with the largest being @ 190 lbs.  There were also 22 wahoo brought on board.  We have a bit of a breeze, its still very fishable here and we are going to hold our position and wait until tomorrow.  The shark have been a slight worry but not as bad as I have seen them here before.

Feb. 16, 2005

Fishing has been a little slow.  We had 13 tuna yesterday with two of them over 200 pounds, with Norman Fujimoto getting the big one, 265 lbs.  We also kept 12 wahoo. Today the weather has improved so we also hoping that the fish go on the bite.

Feb. 18, 2005
Fishing has been a quick flurry and then they back off.  So putting in your rail time is important.  We had at least two over 200 lbs.  Tom Jackson and Eugene Coombs  have a fish @ 215 lbs.  Looks like we have 6 over 200 as of today.  There is a good sign of fish here but they haven't turned on like they have in past trips.  Weather is getting better so we will just wait and see.

Feb. 19, 2005
Fishing is still a little slow. We had 15 tuna up to 180 lbs. and 12 wahoo. This morning things have improved with 2 over 200, a 220 and 233.  Things are looking up.

Feb. 21, 2005
Well things just haven't turned on here.  After we had those first two in the morning on the 19th,  we ended up with 4 total for the day.  And yesterday was even worse.  Nothing to show for a full day of fishing.  At sundown we are on the move.

Feb. 24, 2005
We departed from Cabo San Lucas yesterday and we are running up the line.  Weather is good and we should be arriving in San Diego Saturday @ 9 AM.
