Dec. 3rd
Good morning folks. Yesterday was another nice day of fishing. Picking at the
bigger fish throughout the day and then a nice hit in the evening on 140 to 180
pound fish. A couple of fish over 200 in the evening. Some chances in the day on
the kite and balloons with fish up to 240 pound on the kite with squid or flyer.
Releasing fish under 150 pounds we ended the day with 35 tuna and 3 wahoo. I do
have some pictures but the signal has been weak and they will not send. We will
report again tomorrow, Andy Cates
Dec. 4th
Good morning folks. Yesterday was frustrating, in the fact that we had some
chances at real nice fish. It was a slow pick on the big fish and after the
morning we just seemed to lose one after another. In the evening we had a hit
and squeaked through two more fish over 200. Looks like 6 fish 200 or better for
the day. We have room for 2 more big fish and then we are on the wahoo mission.
With only today and tomorrow left to fish it works out fine. We will report
again tomorrow, Andy Cates
Dec. 4th
Good evening folks. We finished off this morning with room for just two more big
fish and then trolled around. The wahoo sign was disappointing with just 13
wahoo for our efforts.. We decided that our best chance for finishing the trip
off with wahoo was to go up to the 10 day area and look for kelps that might be
holding. Finishing one day early gives us a chance to pursue some wahoo before
heading to Cabo. Another fantastic trip so far and hoping to top it off with
some hoos. We will report again tomorrow. Andy Cates
Dec. 5th
Good morning folks. Traveling today and the weather is nice. We will be in the
wahoo area tomorrow hoping to finish off. Here are some pictures of some of the

Dec. 7th
Good morning folks Yesterday's wahoo mission didn't work out to well. We found
plenty of kelps but only one had a little bit of fish on it. We did have decent
weather with a growing ground swell from the North
west. We decided to head into Cabo and spend the day there. Those who want to
fly home early are more than welcome to. The rest can enjoy the day in town and
then we will head up tonight and get a jump on the ride home.
Dec. 8th
Good evening folks, we departed Cabo San Lucas this morning at 0700 hrs. We
dropped off some of our passengers and Cap. Andy Cates so that they can fly
home. We are going to try for some Wahoo tomorrow morning on the Ridge, we hope
to catch a few for lunch, as you guys very well know the boat is full. We had
very good fishing on very good grade Yellowfin Tuna it was as good as it was
last time we were at the Bank. The Tuna we had at the bank were one hundred and
fifty to two hundred and forty pounds. On the last day we were at the Bank we
were releasing fish that were one hundred and fifty to one hundred and eighty
pounds, we only gaffed the ones that were two hundred pounds and better we ended
up with a few over the two hundred pound mark and we cut off quite a few fish
that morning including a one hundred and eighty pounder that I caught. We will
report again tomorrow wish us luck.

Good evening folks, today we came across some weather we had fifteen to eighteen
knots of wind and it was very choppy as well. We arrived on the upper end of
the Ridge at 0600 hrs. and the water was cold and off color so we decided to
take off and try San Martin Island the following morning, hopefully we can catch
a few Red Snapper and some Ling cod as well. We will report again tomorrow.

Dec. 10th
Good evening folks, it was a very cold day today but we had no wind and only had
a very big north west swell, the swells were far apart so they didn't really
bother us. We had very good fishing on Ling Cod this morning out side of San
Martin Island, we kept a few for dinner. We left San Martin Island at 1400 hrs.
and heading to San Diego our E.T.A. is 0900 hrs. so if you guys want to come
down and check out our catch you're more than welcome. Our next trip leaves on
Monday December 26th on the annual New Years special for eight days, until then
good night and Merry Christmas from the Red Rooster III.

Dec. 28th, 2004
Good morning folks. Yesterday was a day of travel. Working our way down through
the stormy weather on our way to Alijos Rocks. We will be there in a couple of
hours and give a report tonight. The water has been cool all the way down
and looks to be about 67 degrees at the rocks. Choppy windy and rainy last night
and today. Hopefully it gets more comfortable as the day goes on.
Dec. 28th, 2004
Good evening folks. Just enough sign of tuna here to stay. We caught 12 tuna and
5 yellowtail 18 to 50 pounds and two other bigger fish were eaten by a shark. It
looked awful here today but hopefully tomorrow things straighten out and the
storm passes. South east wind and rain all day made conditions very poor. We
will report again tomorrow. Andy Cates
Dec. 30th, 2004
Good morning folks. We left the rocks last night and are working our way into
the ridge. Only a few tuna yesterday and conditions were very nice. We had
nothing to blame except the fact that the fish that were around did not want to
bite. We will spend the day on the ridge and then go from there. We did manage
to get some Jack pt fish up to 80 pounds so were feeling good about that. We are
looking to ad to them. We will report again tomorrow. Andy Cates
