Nov. 6th
Good evening folks. We left yesterday on an 8 day trip chartered by Chark Bait tackle. After a giveaway of assorted tackle we did a seminar and then spent most of the day rigging up. the group has a big interest in wahoo fishing and we are hoping to produce some chances for them. things sound pretty slow down below but that can change. We are catching mackerel right now for the tuna on the ridge hoping it will help us weed through the smaller ones and target the keeper grade fish. Tomorrow we will be fishing yellowtail and hoping for some decent action. We will report again tomorrow. Andy Cates

good morning folks, we spent the day fishing Yellowtail. Here was a perfect example of "Should have been here yesterday." It went from one day of good fishing to poor. Unfortunately the poor day was the day we were there. We scraped 30 yellows and are on our way to the ridge. it doesn't sound very good anywhere on the ridge right now. Hopefully it changes for the better. We will report again tonight, Andy Cates

Good evening folks. Action today on small yellowfin and yellowtail. No wahoo. Conditions were not right here today. Green water. The action was needed but not much to write about. Small fish not really what we target but with the time we have things are coming down to just a couple more days. We really need something good to pull this one off. Wahoo being the targeted fish and so far the lack of. Hopefully tomorrow we get lucky and find some chances on wahoo. We will report again tomorrow. Andy Cates

Good evening folks. Yesterday was more of the same. Small tuna and yellowtail. Braving the weather was the real test. 30 knots of wind and uphill current made for a brutal day. Fortunate to just be on the anchor catching fish. Today the weather was nice and the fish did not want to bite. About all we can say is we did get our Jack pot out of the way with a handful of decent size fish up to 85 pounds. Also more small fish mixed in 15 to 22 pound tuna. Tomorrow we are heading up looking for kelps or floating objects. We finally have the weather to fish offshore and Dorado or wahoo would be a great change of pace. We will report again tomorrow, Andy Cates

Good evening folks. After a long day of looking we finished the trip off with a bang. Just before dark we got on a school of biting tuna that bit as good as they do. Nice size school fish 25 to 40 pounders top end fish around 45 pounds. Finishing with 115 on the one stop. A nice way to finish off and a surprise to all. We will be traveling up the line tomorrow and yes it is still windy and choppy. We will report again tomorrow. Andy Cates

Good afternoon folks. Our first day of travel on the Accurate 11 day fly home trip. The weather is very nice. A huge change from the last trip. We are thrilled about that. We did a seminar today and are rigging up the 50 different Accurate Calstar setups available for the fishermen. Tomorrow looks like a day of offshore fishing. Looking for kelps and any flotsam for wahoo and dorado. We are hoping to find the porpoise that we got on the last our of the last trip. That would be a great way to get started. We will report again tomorrow.

Good evening folks. We are back on line now and will be bringing you reports from a 15 day long range trip.
Our first stop was tonight . Trying for bait . We are hoping to get some bigger bait for the first couple of days at the bank. So far we have got enough but are hoping for more . It has slowed down after dark. Tomorrow we will be doing a seminar on tuna fishing and will be fishing on the morning of the 30th. we will report again tomorrow. Andy Cates

Good evening folks. We spent the day getting rigged up for tuna . Most of the guys have been out before and have a pretty good grasp on things so it was a lot of review. The heavy gear was emphasized in the hopes at chances of bigger size fish.
Tomorrow we will go over wahoo fishing and then be fishing the next morning. We made a stop for squid tonight and picked up some nice size ones to go with what we have on board. We will report again tomorrow. Andy Cates

Good evening folks. Our first day at the Bank showed similar sign as last month. An excellent day of fishing with chances of 200 pounders throughout the afternoon. Ending the day with 58 tuna and 10 wahoo . We are hoping for a similar show tomorrow. Some of the best fishing I have seen down here.

We will post pictures later. Andy Cates
